SCADA - We integrate your Process Control System

Modern Process Control Systems consist of a wealth of intelligent components such as sensors, actuators, con-trollers, and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces). Field busses (e.g. CAN, IEC 61158) and standard communica-tion networks (e.g. TCP/IP over Ethernet) interconnect these intelligent components. Since the components come from different suppliers, the systems become heterogeneous and data exchange between the components a ma-jor challenge. Any component in the system shall be able to provide data to or receive data from other components irrespective of their hardware and software platforms and independent of the communication media and protocols. HMIs shall present the data to the operators and accept control commands from them.

NetModule's software product JPC (Java for Process Control) allows managing the distribution of process data in heterogeneous systems and thereby to build a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system. It also provides methods to achieve compliance with the FDA Guideline CFR 21 Part 11. Figure 1 presents a sample configuration of a SCADA system implemented by JPC.
