Buses and municipal and other special vehicles are increasingly being equipped with electric drive technologies. These vehicles are meant to be used all year round. Not least for this reason, it makes sense to monitor vehicles and their components continuously, especially the expensive batteries and their charging and discharging cycles.

NetModule devices allow vehicle systems to be connected directly. This can be done via several CAN interfaces, so that the data of different functional units of the vehicle can be read individually and separately. Our gateways also support the latest IP communication technologies such as Automotive Ethernet (BroadR-Reach), enabling and encouraging further technological developments.

A special feature is the possibility, thanks to the integrated SSD and Linux “container,” to pre-process the vehicle data directly by the router and then forward it to the control center via LTE or WiFi.

The routers’ integrated GNSS allows the vehicles to be located exactly and accurately, so that all trips and the resultant charging cycles at the power-up stations can be precisely calculated and planned.

The NetModule Connectivity Suite management software is ideally equipped for managing and monitoring the routers themselves.
