Energy requirements and the operation and maintenance of large buildings or entire complexes represent a very substantial cost factor. Intelligent, networked systems are used to save resources. Data from air conditioning systems, energy management, lighting control, fire protection, and monitoring and security systems must be collected and transmitted to the central office or the cloud for analysis. This can be achieved with our Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) router series.

Depending on availability, data can be collected and forwarded via LTE, Ethernet, fiber optics, WiFi, Bluetooth, digital I/O, or serial interfaces. With the VPN protocol suite, firewall, and link manager, which are standard features of the router software, connections can be secured redundantly.

For emergency systems, such as in elevators, the routers can serve as voice gateways, thus enabling voice communication via the internet. In case of danger, passengers can request help via a push-to-talk emergency calling station and be connected to the responsible persons within seconds.

Our routers are designed for applications in harsh environments. They withstand extreme temperatures (–40°C /–40°F to +85°C/+185°F) and come in a strong metal housing.

Routers can be maintained and monitored using NetModule’s Connectivity Suite management platform. It is web-based and manages your routers from a central location.
