Warehouses or handling areas are often used to store valuable merchandise that need to be guarded and protected. It is therefore important to know who is moving around on the premises. In addition to classic protection tasks such as perimeter and outdoor surveillance to prevent vandalism, burglary, and industrial espionage, video surveillance systems also perform tasks related to process optimization and occupational safety. The focus here is on transportation belts, packing systems, or the loading of vehicles. Video surveillance can make a significant contribution to increasing efficiency.

To evaluate the collected video data, they must be transferred from the vehicle to the central office – and NetModule’s robust routers accomplish that. The cameras can be connected to the router via Ethernet and can be powered using PoE. The router establishes a reliable network connection via several mobile network modules (4G/3G) to transmit the data regardless of location. This allows the cameras to be installed even in locations where a fixed network installation is difficult to implement.

The recorded video data can also be buffered on the router’s internal SSD and pre-processed using LXC.

Our sturdy routers are designed for a maximum temperature range of -40°C /-40°F to +70°C/+158°F and feature high electromagnetic compatibility. This makes them suitable for locations where mechanical stress, moisture, and dirt and soil are commonplace.
