To check which deliveries are currently located where, whether the transport is on time, or whether there has been any improper handling of the freight, smart sensors are needed to provide the necessary data. These sensors record, for example, environmental data such as temperature and humidity, but also vibrations or position. They often use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to transmit the data. Our routers integrate BLE and can thus act as a gateway for the sensors. Other sensors can be connected via digital I/O.

The routers can forward the collected data to a central server via the mobile network or WiFi. In the event of an incident, an alarm is triggered so an appropriate reaction can follow swiftly. Tracking helps determine where errors occur, where goods bottlenecks occur, or where environmental conditions become a problem for sensitive goods. In this way, transports can be optimized and made more efficient.

Our sturdy routers are designed for a maximum temperature range of –40°C /–40°F to +70°C/+158°F and feature high electromagnetic compatibility. This makes them suitable for applications where mechanical stress, moisture, and dirt and soil are commonplace.
